Crude oil prices closed down
Crude oil prices closed down Friday, dropping 95 cents to settle at $96.13 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Natural gas added 2 cents to end the session at $2.51 per million
British thermal units.
Home heating oil dipped 2 cents to $2.96 per gallon.
Gasoline lost a penny to close at $3 a gallon.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped 0.5 cents from Thursday's $3.739 per gallon to $3.734, AAA said.
Gold futures fell Friday, losing $11.50, or 0.7 percent, to settle at $1,584 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Silver lost 29 cents, or 1 percent, to end at $28.89 an ounce.
The Euro fell to $1.2920 from Thursday's $1.2936. Against the yen, the dollar fell to 79.94 yen from 79.93 yen.
The British pound was $1.6074 from $1.6136 Thursday. The dollar was 1.0008 to Canadian dollars from 1.0029 Canadian.
The dollar was 7.7662 against the Hong Kong dollar, from 7.7633 Thursday. The Australian dollar was $1.0023 from $1.0064.
