Actor Mazhar Abou El Naga lived a quiet life, where he performed many roles in theatre and TV through a collection of movies like “The Train” with Nour El Sherif and Mervit Amin. He started his life as an employee of a textile company, but he loved the art and wanted to be a singer like Farid al-Atrash. When he failed in singing, he turned to acting and worked with the mega star Adel Emam.
He performed the play “Crazy people nest” with Mohammed Negm, where he became famous for his sentence “Ya Halawa”. In the 80th, he did a series of light movies like, Ambulance’s people, Massoud Said, and Poor don’t go to heaven. He also did a silent scene with Soad Hosny in “Take care of Zozo” and disappeared for some time, until he returned with Ahmed Ezz in “El Adham” drama, along with other dramas with Adel Emam like, He is professional and Mamoun & Partners. He finally finished shooting”El Daher” with Mohammed Foaud, which will be aired in Ramadan.
Actor Ahmed Ezz said that, Mazhar Abou El Naga was a good man, who carried great love to all people and smiled all the time. While Mahmoud Yassin said that, Mazhar was a real comedian and had a big audience who loved his jokes.
Actress Mimi Gamal also said that, Mazhar never hated anyone, and the audience has always waited him to return any time, and say his famous sentence “Ya Halawa”.
