Country star takes the crown for season 2

Performer Pitbull, host Khloe Kardashian and judge Britney Spears London – Caroline Kent One Direction and Pitbull performed at the nail biting finale of X Factor US last night. Tate Stevens beat Carly Rose Sonenclar to be crowned winner of the 2012 season on the show. Tate was tipped for success after topping the leader-board rankings more than any other act in the competition. Tate said on stage after his big win: “First and foremost, I gotta thank the man upstairs for taking care of me. My family, all the country music fans– God bless you and thank you so very much for all the votes. This is the best day of my life.” His mentor went on to offer ever more encouragement: “Congratulations to you, you deserve this,” LA Reid said to his winning contestant. “I’m proud to work with you. I think you represent the X Factor really, really well so on behalf of myself, Simon and all of the judges: Congratulations.”
