God is the one who gave me life

George Wassouf Beirut – Suleiman Asfhani The Syrian singer George Wassouf told Arabstoday: “God is the one who gave me life and he is the only one who can take it, not those who kill artists with rumours a thousand times everyday”. Wassouf's remarks was in reference to rumours recently spread, about his death, which was circulated on internet social networks.
He said sadly: “It is unfortunate when one of them has fun with news about your death.” He added: “All this is just to draw attention, can anything else be so depressing?”
Wassouf denied that he had declared any statements to media, noting that he does not respond “except to select media personnel” whom are real friends. The singer, added, that all which is said on his behalf, about politics and other topics, are: “totally untrue,” in reference to what was published about his position of support to the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad.
