Egyptian actress Nabila Ebid Cairo – Taha Hafiz Egyptian actress Nabila Ebid is fuming following a verbal attack on artists made by Islamists. Following a meeting with President Mohamed Morsi, Sheikh Wagdy Ghoniem articulated his thoughts on people who work in the world of art and media, describing them as “Ungodly” and “Evil” — which has gone on to upset as well as anger many people in this field. In a statement to Arabstoday, Nabila expressed her surprise over the words of these religious men, who not only consider themselves as professors but also hold a vital influence in the industry. She said: “Such comments are just embarrassing to listen to for anyone and it is unfortunate such remarks come from such significant individuals. Art has the ability to inspire, stimulate and change the nation and without it, we will back in the dark ages. In my eyes, art has a positive impact and we as artists will not give up our love for our work for these extremists; we will fight and we will introduce art that enlighten minds.” Nabila is busy working on her projects, her latest work being a series that was introduced during Ramadan called Keed El Nesa (Women Machination). ldquo;Ungodly
