
U.A.E. Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met on Tuesday with Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini in the Italian capital Rome and discussed with her bilateral ties in economic, investment, trade and energy fields.
The two ministers also took stock of the latest developments and events in the regional and international arenas and exchanged views on a variety of issues of mutual interest.
HH Sheikh Abdullah emphasised the importance of opening up new avenues for broader joint cooperation, coordination and consultation in various issues of interest to the two countries under the keenness and care of the Emirati-Italian leadership to strengthening bilateral cooperation ties.
For her part, the Italian foreign minister expressed the hope that Sheikh Abdullah's visit would contribute to further bolstering bilateral ties between the friendly countries and peoples.
She commended the significant role and place the U.A.E. is holding in the international economic, trade, investment, humanitarian and energy landscape.
She also marvelled at the development and progress the U.A.E. has achieved in all domains.
U.A.E. Ambassador to Italy Saqr Nasser Al Raisi attended the meeting.
