H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has lauded the achievements of youth in all domains as they have won local, Arab and international awards.
He made the comments at a ceremony that honoured the winners of the second edition of the Emirates Youth Award, held at Ajman Saray Hotel on Wednesday.
He was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development.
The Ajman Ruler thanked the winners and praised their self-confidence, which, he said, would further enhance their creative, artistic, literary and intellectual qualities, especially after their great success in national and international events. These accomplishments show how advanced they are in all fields, he added.
He also thanked the staff of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, especially Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, for his continuous efforts to support youths.
He said that youths are the cornerstone of the country’s development and "we should benefit from their positive energy to contribute to the UAE’s overall cultural boom."
Several Sheikhs, ministers and officials also attended the event.
