
Prime Minister of Germany's State of Bavaria Horst Seehofer and his accompanying delegation on Tuesday left Doha ending a two-day visit to Qatar.
Seehofer was seen off upon departure by HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohamed bin Salih Al Sada and Germay's Ambassador to Qatar Angelika Storz-Chakarji.
Before leaving the Bavarian Prime Minister asserted the success of his visit to Doha, and that bilateral talks had been very constructive.
He said: "We discussed a number of bilateral issues, particularly with regard to the future cooperation between Bavaria and the State of Qatar. Talks also touched on the economic aspects and issues related to peace and security in the region in addition to other issues of common concern, he added stressing the depth of relations between the two countries.
The State of Qatar and Saudi Arabia are among the pivotal states in the Gulf region, he said adding that his visit to the two countries came to deepen relations with them, discuss political, economic and security situation and to exchange views on the ongoing events in the region.
