A delegation grouping young diplomats of the Foreign Ministry's Diplomatic Studies Institute left for Ethiopia and Uganda on Sunday as part of efforts to hone skills of young diplomats and help them acquire practical experience necessary to render their future assignments a success.
The delegation, led by Assistant Foreign Minister and Director of the Institute Heba el Marasi, includes 23 diplomatic attaches, said spokesman for the Foreign Ministry AHmed Abu Zeid.
The visit, not the first by the institute to African nations, aims at preparing the best diplomatic cadres who are capable of enhancing relations with African nations, the spokesman said.
The delegation will meet with officials of the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry and parliament and the African Union before leaving for Uganda.
