Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry heads for Amman later on Sunday to take part in the preparatory meetings of the 28th Arab summit.
The ministerial meeting will discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, the Yemeni and Syrian crises, the situation in Libya, Iraq and Somalia as well as anti-terrorism efforts, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said Sunday.
The ministers will also probe the Arab national security, relations among neighboring Arab countries, reforming the Arab League and laying down an Arab vision to free the Middle East from weapons of mass destruction.
Shoukry will take part in a special session on Syria with the attendance of UN envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura.
He will also hold bilateral meetings with a number of participating Arab ministers.
