Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived here Thursday coming from Italy on a one-day visit to Ethiopia.
This is Shoukry's first trip to Addis Ababa since he assumed office in June.
In Addis Ababa, Shoukry will meet with Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and will hand him a message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on enhancing bilateral relations, as well as the Nile water issue.
He will also meet with Tedros Adhanom, his Ethiopian counterpart, to set a date for the next round of joint committee meetings on the controversial Renaissance Dam.
Shoukry's visit comes after the fourth round of tripartite talks involving Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan on the dam.
