French Minister of State for Foreign Trade Matthias Fekl headed for Cairo on Thursday to meet a host of Egyptian officials.
During his visit, Fekl will meet with Egypt's Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil and Housing Minister Mostafa Kamal Madbouli, said French Foreign Ministry Spokesman Roman Nadal.
Nadal described the French minister's visit to Egypt as an opportunity to affirm the importance of economic and trade partnership between Egypt and France.
France is considered the eighth trade partner for Egypt, he said, adding that the volume of exports between them stands at 2.1 billion euros.
