
Greek Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos, visited Wahat Al Karama on Sunday.
He is in the UAE to take part in the International Defence Exhibition and Conference, IDEX, 2017.
Kammenos was accompanied by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Director of The Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office, MFAO, at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
The visit started with a ceremony by the Honour Guard after which he laid a wreath on The Memorial. The Minister then went on to visit the Pavilion of Honour and the Memorial Plaza.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun spoke about the components of the Pavilion that bear the names of the UAE’s heroes.
The Greek minister signed the visitors’ log, writing a message of gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices of the UAE’s brave heroes.
He was accompanied by Dionyssios Zois, Greek Ambassador to the UAE.
