
UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdelridha Abdullah Al Khoury, praised the 'meanings of the message addressed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on occasion of the International Day for Tolerance, in which His Majesty the King said the co-existence of mosques, churches and temples is one of the visible signs of tolerance'.
The UAE ambassador said "The UAE's constitution encourages equality, freedom, mutual respect and non-discrimination in articles 25, 32 and 40".
"The Emirati society has been known throughout history for its tolerance, peaceful co-existence, cultural diversity, openness and this has been the legacy of HH Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan the late founder of the United Arab Emirates, in whose steps are now proceeds the UAE's political leadership," Al Khoury added.
"The UAE has designated November 16 as its national annual Day for Tolerance," according to the UAE ambassador.
