
Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Monday evening started a visit to Kuwait at the top of a parliamentary delegation on the first leg of a regional tour that will also take him to Qatar, IRNA reported.
During his two-day visit of Kuwait, Larijani will meet with his Kuwaiti counterpart and a group of high ranking political officials to exchange viewpoints on bilateral ties and regional developments.
Larijani will also visit Qatar for talks with officials there on issues of mutual interest.
The Iranian Parliament Speaker said that most important goals of his visits to include consultations with senior officials of the two countries on bilateral economic ties and discussing important regional developments.
Speaking briefly with the reporters in the airport before departing for Kuwait, he added that Qatar and Kuwait are two friendly, neighboring and Islamic states, with close relations with Tehran.
