
Manpower Minister Mohamed Safaan received an urgent report Sunday on the expected arrival of the body of the Egyptian national working in Qatar named Hassan Zaki Abdel Atti.
The report was submitted by the ministry's labor office at the Egyptian embassy in Doha.
Labor Counselor Yasser Saed said that the late Egyptian worker was driving a car with one of his relatives named Mohamed Ezzat Abdel Mo'ti, adding that the vehicle overturned.
He added that an ambulance plane was sent to accident scene to rush the injured to Hamad General Hospital, but Abdel Atti breathed his last.
He noted that that Abdel Mo'ti suffered severe injuries and underwent an urgent operation, but he is now in a good condition.
The body of Abdel Atti is expected to arrive in Egypt later Sunday, the official said.
