
Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi has attended a meeting organized by Citizenship, Human Rights Enhancing Schools.
A presentation was given on the schools initiatives and experiences in promoting citizenship and human rights, the outstanding results achieved in the area of consolidation of tolerance, coexistence and the values of dialogue among students, and consequently translating the results into a positive behaviour in the school atmosphere.
A number of teachers were honoured for completing 20 hours training within the programme.
The minister stressed the significance of the meetings to achieve the educational objectives, praising the students' activities implemented in 14 schools. He said the ministry intends to expand the project for the positive results attained at the first and second stages.
He took part in a discussion session with the students targeted boosting their dialogue skills and accepting others' opinions.
