
Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek el Molla headed Monday to Saudi Arabia to take part in the 14th Arab International Mineral Resources Conference to open Tuesday in Jeddah and run for three days.
The participation comes at an invitation of Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khaled al Faleh.
In statements on Monday, el Molla said that after the conference kicks off, a consultative ministerial meeting will be held in the presence of the ministers concerned with mineral resources to probe promoting Arab cooperation in the mineral resources sector and achieving the best economic benefit from these resources to serve the Arab nation.
The Saudi Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Ministry in cooperation with the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO) organizes the conference under the auspices of the Saudi king.
