
Egyptian Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek el Molla attended the proceedings of the 15th International Energy Forum (IEF15), which kicked off in Algeria on Tuesday.
The minister pointed out to Egypt's participation and presence in the forum, which allows it to coordinate and discuss with the petroleum and energy ministers exchanging information and decisions on conditions of petroleum industry, according to a statement issued by the Petroleum ministry.
The bilateral meetings are considered a good opportunity to review the available investment opportunities in the various petroleum activities, he added.
On the sidelines of the forum, the minister reviewed bilateral ties between Egypt and Algeria, said the statement.
He also met with Algerian Energy Minister Noureddine Bouterfa to discuss ways of boosting joint cooperation, added the statement.
The minister further met with Sun Xiansheng, IEF Secretary General, during which they discussed the program work at the petroleum sector which is being implemented to encourage the international companies to pump investments.
Xiansheng underlined the importance of fruitful cooperation between Algeria, Egypt and the African countries.
