
Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab left Ethiopia Tuesday after having taken part in the 18th COMESA summit.
Mahlab delivered Egypt's speech at the summit, stressing that political, security and economic challenges pose a threat to African efforts to achieve peace, security, stability and a comprehensive and sustainable economic development.
During his visit to Addis Ababa, the Egyptian prime minister also met on the sidelines of the summit with a number of African heads of state and senior officials, who praised steps taken by Cairo to achieve development and stability.
They also voiced support for Egypt's approaches at the local and international levels.
Accompanying Mahlab to Ethiopia were the ministers of trade and industry, electricity, housing and planning, as well as the deputy foreign minister and representatives of the different business sectors.
