Prof. El Sayed elected chairman of Zewail City

The board of Zewail City of Science and Technology has named Egyptian professor Mostafa El Sayed as its chairman.
There was concensus among the board members on the decision, said the city's media consultant Sherif Fouad in a press release on Saturday.
The board held today its first official meeting after the death of Egyptian Noble Laureate Ahmed Zewail, who ushered the project of the city.
El Sayed has been a member of the city's board since 2011.
"His choice is meant to complete the scientific process or Zewail and to lead the national project of scientific development in Egypt," said the statement.
