Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat wraps up Paris visit

Prosecutor General Counselor Hisham Barakat has wrapped up a visit to Paris that lasted for three days.

Barakat led Egypt's delegation to the international forum for judges concerned with fighting terrorism that was held here with massive participation by general prosecutors from several countries.

Barakat called at the forum for launching an initiative for setting up a regional association for general prosecutors and heads of public prosecution authorities in the Mediterranean region.

He further called for exchanging expertise and promoting understanding and dialogue on legal issues among agencies concerned.

He, meanwhile, asserted that efforts for fighting terrorism should be maintained at the international level.
