UN peace envoy to Palestine Nikolai Mladenov arrives in Gaza

UN peace envoy to Palestine Nikolai Mladenov arrived here on Wednesday on his first visit to Gaza Strip since he assumed office.
Local sources here said the UN envoy, on top of a 10-member delegation, arrived to northern Gaza via Erez crossing which is under the control of the Israeli authorities.
The Bulgarian Mladenov was appointed to the post in February in succession of Robert Serry who assumed the post since 2007.
