The military parade, which took place on Friday on the occasion of the 70th commemoration of the Independence of Lebanon on Shafik Wazzan Avenue, has concluded. It was particularly marked by a tribute to singer Wadih El-Safi, who died last month, as the choir of the National Lebanese Conservatory of Music chanted songs by the great artist for eight minutes. The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) orientation directorate then aired a documentary on the occasion. After the parade, the Head of State, Speaker of the House and caretaker Prime Minister headed to Baabda Palace to receive Lebanese officials, diplomats, religious, legal, military, social, municipal, media and trade figures who would offer their felicitations on said occasion.
