
His Majesty King Mohammed VI received, Wednesday at the Royal Residence in Washington, U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, and Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, said a statement from the King's Office. The meeting of His Majesty the King with the two U.S. officials focused on strengthening the long-standing relations and fruitful cooperation between the two countries, and consultation on various bilateral, regional and international issues of common interest. These meetings took place within the framework of the official working visit of His Majesty the King to the United States, during which he will meet with U.S. President, Barack Obama. This meeting took place, in the presence, on the American side, of Ms. Beth Jones, Assistant Secretary of State, Mr. Prem Kumar, Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the White House, and Derek Chollet, Undersecretary of State for Asia-Pacific. On the Moroccan side, the meeting took place in the presence of Mr. Taib Fassi -Fihri, Advisor to HM the King, and Salaheddine Mezouar, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. Source: MAP
