Qatar's Foreign Minister HE Dr. Khaled bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah on Wednesday said that the Gulf differences have come to an end adding that it is now up to those countries which recalled their ambassadors from Doha to send them back.     Speaking at a joint news conference with Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamd Al-Sabah, HE Dr. Al-Attiyah said that divergence of opinions between Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain is already over, adding that the mechanism of the inter-Gulf agreement hammered out in Riyadh on April 17 was "clear-cut". HE Dr. Al Attiyah also commended the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah for sponsoring the Riyadh agreement. "The brothers in the GCC countries have reached deals which do not mean that concessions were made by any party," he said. On the State of Qatar's support for the GCC Union HE Dr. Khalid Al-Attiyah, said that the matter was raised in the beginning by the brothers in Saudi Arabia, adding that Qatar was one of the first countries that supported this trend is the State of Qatar." The State of Qatar will always be supporting any idea that brings that brings us closer to our brothers in the GCC and takes us from the cooperation to a stage that enhances the bonds and joint work. On Qatar's view about the situation in Egypt, HE the Foreign Minister said that HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has explained, during the Arab League Summit which was held recenly in Kuwait, that he is keen on the stability of the sisterly Egypt. I cannot give an assessment to the situation, HE the Minister said adding that Qatar hopes for Egypt to rise at all levels because of its paramount importance to all of us in the Arab world. On the future of the Qatari-Egyptian relations in case that presidential candidate Abdulfattah Al-Sisi wins, HE Dr. Al-Attiyah affirmed that Qatar has been and will always be supporting the choices of the Egyptian people, stressing that Qatar will not deviate from this stance. On the reasons of the failure of the Arab League Observer Mission to Syria, Dr. Al-Attiyah said that there was sincere desire in resolving the Syrian crisis within the Arab countries, expressing regret that the Syrian regime did not cooperate with the Arab League envoy, explaining that this was the main reason behind the mission's failure. For his part, the Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, affirmed that the leaders of the GCC have sincere desire to continue the march of the GCC countries as one of the most important tributaries in the joint Arab action. He pointed out that this march will overcome any obstacle, adding "this is what has been done recently". With regard to the third session of the Kuwaiti-Qatari Joint Higher Committee meeting, The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister said that the committee has adopted a number of programmes and projects which cover cooperation in the political, economic, media, cultural and educational fields. He pointed that the two sides have signed a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding in the fields of media, diplomacy and commerce. He noted that the meeting addressed means of mutual cooperation in several spheres in addition to different regional and international issues, pointing the deliberations were conducted in an atmosphere of friendliness, which reflects the nature of bilateral historical ties between the two countries. On Syria, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamd Al-Sabah said that the Syrian tragedy is a major concern for everyone, noting that the international community and the Arab League emphasize that the proper path to overcome this tragedy is the political solution, which resulted in Geneva-1 Conference. He explained that this political solution spares Syria from more tragedies and bloodshed. "We are keen to comply with what was agreed upon by the Arab League, the United Nations and the Geneva-1 and Geneva-2 meetings, he said. Source: QNA
