The Iraqi foreign minister, Hoshyar Zebari, met Sunday the head of the Iranian foreign policy commission of the Iranian Islamic Shura Council, Alaeddin Boroujerdi along with an Iranian delegation. The meeting took place in Iranian ambassador Hassan Danae Far's residence in Baghdad. A source in the Iraqi cabinet, told Arabstoday: “The meeting included a discussion about strengthening relations between the two neighbouring countries at political, economic, social, cultural and parliamentary levels, as well as Iraq's readiness to host the next round of talks between Iran and the P5+1, which is scheduled to be held in Baghdad on May 23. This meeting is of particular relevance to the international and regional levels, as it discusses the Iranian nuclear issue."
