The clashes also resulted in tens of injuries, when residents of the village tried to stop one of the Brotherhood demonstrations to pass through their village. Meanwhile, limited clashes erupted near Qaed Ibrahim Mosque in Alexandria, as supporters and opponents of the Brotherhood threw stones at each other. The clashes in Alexandria resulted in some injuries, state run MENA news agency reported. After Friday prayers, Muslim Brotherhood supporters staged rallies in different parts of Egypt in protest of what they described as a "military coup" that ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi. The demonstrators chanted anti-police slogans and held yellow sheets with four fingers, which became a symbol of Rabaa-el- Adaweya sit-in that was dispersed on Aug. 14.
