Two bombs went off early Monday near Israeli troops patrolling the border with northern Gaza, causing no injuries or damage, the army said. Local media reported the roadside bombs were planted in the vicinity of Kibbutz Nahal Oz, an Israeli farming community, though the army would not confirm the location of the blasts. It was the second time in the past week that Gaza militants have set off bombs against Israeli forces operating in the area, the army said. A similar incident took place Friday, when a bomb exploded near a military patrol near the Gaza border fence. No soldiers were injured in the incident. Peter Lerner, an army spokesman, said the military preserves " the right to maintain its operational accessibility in the area, in order to prevent future attempts to execute terror attacks and to protect civilians."
