
Four people were stabbed in a mosque in the British city of Birmingham late Saturday during evening prayers. The victims, one of which is a police officer, were taken to hospital and a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Four men including a police officer were in hospital Sunday after being stabbed during an attack at a mosque in the English city of Birmingham, police said. Officers were called out to a mosque in the city's Ward End area late Saturday after reports that three men had been stabbed, said a spokesman for West Midlands Police. While a suspect was being arrested one of the officers was himself stabbed, the spokesman added. All four of the victims were in a stable condition in hospital, he said. Police are holding a 32-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.
