The Kuwaiti Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Khalid Al-Shaibani held a field trip to Kuwaiti "Q8 Aviation" Company located in Botany Port, close to Sydney International Airport in Australia, to inspect the workflow at the company' facilities. KUNA received on Sunday a statement of the Embassy of Kuwait in Australian and New Zealand, saying that Al-Shaibani met senior officials at the company, including General Manager Fadel Al-Faraj, and Account Manager Mark Welsh, besides a number of the company's clients in Australia, including the Australian airline Qantas. The company succeeded in increasing the storage capacity of the jet fuel tanks in Sydney, besides increasing its investments, which led to turning the Australian market as a strong import city of the Kuwaiti jet fuel, it added. The company is working to expand its activities in other airports in Australia, like Melbourne Airport, which is the second largest one in the country, the statement said. Q8 Aviation Company aims at increasing the quantity of the imported aircraft's fuel, with an annual income of around a one USD billion, it added. Q8 Aviation is one of the world's leading marketers of jet fuel, which was founded in 1983, and is owned by Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), the state company responsible for managing Kuwait's substantial oil businesses worldwide. The KPC Group has the fourth largest oil reserves in the world, and is the leading jet fuel producer in the Middle East. This gives Q8 Aviation the benefit of a strong and secure source of jet fuel. Q8 Aviation's business had grown rapidly over the past decade, with annual sales increasing from around 300 million USD to 1.5 billion USD. The company provides jet fuel to around 200 airlines at more than 60 airports across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Far East. Q8 Aviation's growth is focused on the opportunities presented by the growing requirement for countries to import jet fuel, in order to meet the high demand for air travel. It will continue to expand our business around the world, providing a reliable source of jet fuel with a service based firmly on excellent customer care.
