
Australian Ambassador in Cairo Neil Hawkins praised the organization of the electoral committees he visited in Cairo, Port Said and Islmailia during his tour to oversee the second phase of the parliamentary elections in Egypt.
In statements to MENA on Wednesday, Hawkins said election process was held amid a calm atmosphere and he is looking forward to be briefed on the final assessment of the High Election Committee and the international monitoring organizations.
He also praised the enthusiasm of the Egyptian voters about elections and their determination, especially women, to vote for the future of their sons.
The second phase of the parliamentary elections covered 13 governorates and was held over Sunday and Monday this week.
