Britain said Monday it was committed to a long-term support for Afghanistan, until Afghan administration would be capable of running their country in 2014. Foreign secretary William Hague mentioned an international commitment by providing an annual USD four billion, until the year 2017 to reinforce security and stability in Afghanistan. Hague presented a report to parliament members regarding the most important achievements made by forces and efforts in rebuilding Helmand region by UK and forces from the US, Denmark, and Estonia. Hague added that as soon as the ruling regime imposes law and Afghan fully control security in the region and merge with the national led government in Kabul, rebuilding forces will be reduced starting December 2013. Gradually, he said, military forces will be withdrawn from Camp Bastion by the end of this year, followed by final withdraw in March 2014. Hague also mentioned most accomplishments made by UK reconstruction forces in Helmand region, and support to (ISAF) forces, which control the southern part of Afghanistan.
