Police are hunting for a man in a "white hooded top" who tried to set a north London mosque on fire, before fleeing on a moped in an incident they are treating as a hate crime, Huffington Post reported on Saturday.
The suspect, described as a white man, tried to set the Finsbury Park Mosque ablaze around on Saturday.
Police were called to the St Thomas's Road mosque after reports a man was seen "acting suspiciously at the location and attempting to set it alight".
Police said no one was injured during the arson attempt.
The man was also spotted in the area at 8.25pm the night before.
