Amr and Kerry discussed the deterioration of the Syrian conflict and how to support the Syrian opposition to boosting its capabilities to start "serious political negotiations" which would achieve a political solution that would honor aspirations of the Syrian people, official news agency (MENA) reported. Some 90,000 people were killed since the conflict began in Syria in March 2011 with millions of people displaced within Syria and seeking shelter in neighboring countries.
