A high-profile Egyptian delegation will arrive in Libya to discuss ways to assist the riot-torn country with its National Transitional Council, Egyptian media reported on Monday. Egyptian companies are ready to help Libya rebuild its economy, health care, education and agriculture. Egypt will also offer its aid in clearing Libyan territories from mines planted during the nationwide unrest. Libyan transitional council diplomat Mahmud Jibril arrived in Cairo last week. He urged Egypt's leadership to take an active part in Libya's rebuilding. During the Libyan riot, Egypt was neutral. Cairo recognized the Libyan National Transitional Council only after rebels seized control over Tripoli last week. However, Egypt never closed its border with Libya during the uprising, so humanitarian aid was able to be shipped into the country.
