
Irrigation and Water Resources Hossam Moghazi on Friday asserted that contacts among Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia are ongoing at the level of irrigation and foreign ministers concerning the Renaissance Dam.
This came on the sidelines of Moghazi's visit to the Nile museum of the irrigation ministry slated to be inaugurated next month.
Moghazi asserted Egypt's keenness that the negotiations will be fruitful as soon as possible.
The negotiations are based on the basic principles of the agreements set in Khartoum which is considered a road-map for the Renaissance Dam file.
The foreign Ministry is preparing for a six-party meeting at the level of irrigation and foreign ministers that aims to discuss the latest developments concerning the dam.
The talks will be followed by 10th meeting on Renaissance Dam will in which the irrigation ministers of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia will attend to discuss the technical issues concerning the Ethiopian dam, the minister added.
