
European Parliament Member Gilles Pargneaux praised security and stability in Egypt which he personally witnessed during his numerous visits to Egypt the last of which for his participation in the international conference of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, currently in session here.
In statements to MENA on Sunday, Pargneaux called on the Europeans to visit Egypt and not to give any attention to false reports on conditions in Egypt.
He added that he will invite Europeans and westerners to visit Egypt to get acquainted with the great Egyptian civilization.
He said he was happy to visit the Egyptian museum among delegations from the conference, adding that he also visited the Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque and roamed the streets of Cairo safely and sensed the friendliness of the Egyptian people.
He expressed the European Parliament's readiness to cooperate with Egypt in any field, adding that he will convey such good impression about Egypt and the Egyptians to the European officials.
He praised the tourist and archaeological attractions and antiquities in Egypt, saying Egypt with its diverse monuments is an open museum. He called for enhancing cooperation and international coordination to protect antiquities and spread the culture of peace, dialogue and coexistence.
He warned against the economic, social and political dangers of terror, asserting that Islam and all other heavenly religions are against terror and extremist intellect.
