French authorities ban demos in Le Bourget on climate change summit

French authorities banned demonstrations in Le Bourget where the 21st United Nations Climate Conference is held from December 1 to 13.
Paris police said in a statement the ban could be followed by similar procedures in other areas to guarantee public order.
The police also warned of jail of up to six months and a fine of 7,500 Euros in case of trespasses.
French President Francois Hollande called "scandalous" scuffles between protesters and police at the Place de Republique, the site of a memorial to victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris on Sunday.
French authorities clamped down on public demonstrations in the aftermath of the deadly attacks in France that left scores dead and injured, blocking environmental campaigners' plans for marches.
