The German Federal Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development Dirk Niebel on Sunday said, "our government will accept about 5 million Syrian refugees after June." Niebel and Coordinating Governor Veysel Dalmaz visited the container city in the Nizip town of southeastern province of Gaziantep where about 5 million Syrian refugees live. After his visit at the container city, Niebel told the journalists that they thanked the Turkish government for its help for the Syrian people and noted that this was important to show that the international community did not leave the Syrians alone. Niebel said that the aid they provided to Syrians was about 165 million euro and added that the support of the UNICEF and World Food Program were important to prevent the migration of the Syrian people from Syria.
