The Kremlin has left unanswered the question about the possibility of opening a second Russian airbase in Syria, according to Tass.
"No, I cannot offer any comment," presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the media, when asked if the media reports of plans for creating a Russian base in Homs province were true.
At the moment Russia’s air group operating against the terrorist Daesh group in Syria is based at Hmeimim.
The Kremlin has said that there were no contacts between Russian and British politicians since the beginning of the British Armed Forces’ operation in Syria against terrorists of the so-called Islamic State (IS) group (outlawed in Russia).
"So far, there have been no political contacts," Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
