
Kuwait thanked Lebanese authorities for swiftly dealing with an attempt to abduct a Kuwaiti citizen in the town of Buhamdoun, said a statement by the Kuwaiti Embassy here Friday. The Kuwaiti Embassy called on citizens to abide by the statement issued by Kuwait's Foreign Ministry concerning the tense situation in Lebanon and the region as a whole. The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry had issued a statement on May 26th calling on citizens to avoid traveling to Lebanon due to the current precarious regional events. The statement also wished that Lebanon would overcome the difficult circumstances sweeping the region, and regain its stability and security.
