Liberal Democratic Party leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky has accused American secret services of “dividing” in informational terms the whole world, as Apple, Microsoft and Google are used to collect and supply personal data on all people around the world. “These exposures of National Security Agency activity that have been heard over the recent days - is a very dangerous thing. One can say that the world is really seeing a cool war,” Zhirinovsky, who leads the LDPR Duma faction, said at a plenary session of the lower house on Wednesday. According to Zhirinovsky, within the framework of this cyber war the biggest companies - Apple, Microsoft and Google, “found themselves involved in a secret program” of American secret services. “And they are telling us that this is American democracy. This is informational dictatorship in its pure form,” the party leader said. He also marked that British secret services ensure wiretapping at summit meetings, citing as an example the recent G8 summit or the G20 summit in 2009.
