Dubai's Community Development Authority and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support disabled people during emergencies, crises and disasters.
Director-General of the NCEMA, Dr. Jamal Al Hosani, and Director-General of the Community Development Authority, Khalid Mohammed Al Kamda, signed the new agreement.
According to the agreement, the two bodies will draw up relevant plans and jointly hold meetings and conferences, conduct training courses and organise activities to raise awareness of the disabled and promote protection of children.
Additionally, the NCEMA will train the staff and volunteers of the Community Development Authority and back Dubai's development of a standardised policy on prevention, protection, readiness, preparedness, response and recovery to help all people in times of emergency, disaster and crisis.
