
The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) offered Saturday congratulations to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the Qatari people on the release and safe return home of Qatari citizens who were kidnapped in Iraq.
NHRC said in a statement today the achievement of releasing the Qatari citizens kidnapped in Iraq was an addition to the State of Qatar's history and the efforts of HH the Emir not just in protecting the people of Qatar, but in carrying out great mediations that protects the rights of the peoples and eliminate any injustice against them.
The committee also praised the successful Qatari diplomacy which gives its all to help its citizens and defend their rights wherever they are. NHRC also thanked all international bodies and friendly countries that made a contribution with the State of Qatar in its efforts to release the kidnapped Qatari citizens. The committee also thanked international and regional human rights organizations that supported the issue in all international events.
