
President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi received on Sunday Member of the German Federal Parliament (Bundestag). At the meeting, President Hadi discussed with the German legislator a number of issues and topics relating to the Yemeni-German relations, as well as the progress of the political settlement in Yemen under the GCC-brokered initiative. The president noted that the main problem today in Yemen is the economic deterioration and the political ,security and economic effects left by the crisis that emerged early 2011, noting that the Gulf initiative was the best political exit from the crisis. He reviewed a number of issues and the difficult circumstances experienced by Yemen in light of the division and the Cold War. The president affirmed that most of Yemen's problems stem from the economic degradation, unemployment and poverty by 75 percent. The President called on investors from Germany and European countries to invest Yemen in the different investment fields and they will receive all care and support. For his part, the German Bundesting’s member pointed out that his current visit to Yemen is the fifth. He confirmed that Germany is closely following up the efforts of the political forces and the progress of the national dialogue in Yemen and strongly supports all efforts aiming to bring Yemen out of the crisis and succeeding the transitional process.
