Putin and Cameron to meet in framework of G20 summit

President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to meet with UK's Prime Minister David Cameron within the framework of the G20 Leaders Summit in St. Petersburg, spokesman for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov told Itar-Tass. “The meeting will most likely be held in the "on the go" format,” the spokesman said. However, Peskov did not specify the exact time of the meeting. "It will take place within the two days of the summit," he said. Shortly before the summit the Russian president and the British prime minister had discussed on the telephone the situation in Syria and a possibility that chemical weapons might have been used there. Cameron said he welcomed Putin's statements on Syria during Putin's interview to Russian TV Channel One and the AP news agency, but stressed that the Russian and British leaders had different points of view on this problem.
