Putin, Netanyahu note success of Russia-Israel coordination

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting on Monday, welcoming the work of the Russian-Israeli mechanism established to avoid incidents amid the situation in Syria, Sputnik reported.
Netanyahu agreed with the Russian leader's assessment, noting that recent tragic events have highlighted the need for such coordination efforts.
"I wish to note that the mechanism initiated by you due to the worsening situation in the region functions quite well," Putin said during the meeting.
