Sisi, Italy agree to continue cooperation to combat suicide

Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi agreed on Friday to continue cooperation to face terrorism and settle conflicts in a number of countries in the region, especially in Libya, which will positively affect the stability in the Middle East and the Mediterranean.

In a phone call with the Italian premier, Sisi lauded the distinguished relations binding the two countries, stressing Egypt's keenness to promote bilateral ties in various fields.

Presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef said that President Sisi thanked Renzi for supporting the Italian companies operating in Egypt and encouraging Italian investors to pump more investments in the country.

For his part, the Italian premier thanked President Sisi for the continuous contact between the two countries, stressing the importance of cooperation and coordination in all issues of common concern.

He noted his country's keenness to support the Italian companies in Egypt.
