Spanish police arrest man on charge of attempting to recruit jihadists

 Members of Spain's National Police force on Monday arrested a man on charge of recruiting for the Islamic Jihad and threatening to plant bombs in the cities of Madrid and Barcelona.
The man arrested is described as a 42-years old of Moroccan origin, who is currently serving a jail sentence for crimes of domestic violence in Segovia prison, around 50 kilometers north of Madrid.
He is the first person to be detained in Spain in the wake of the November 13th Paris terror attacks which claimed at least 129 lives, and is reported to have been attempting to recruit fellow prisoners who were on the verge of completing their prison sentences.
Meanwhile the Spanish Civil Guard have advised that wanted Belgian terrorist Soufiane Mezroui could be in the country after returning from fighting for DAESH in Syria.
Authorities have issued a nationwide alert for the 23-year-old, who has been wanted on a European arrest warrant since April 2013. It is not known whether or not he was involved in the Paris attack, but it is considered that "his presence in Spain could pose a threat to national security."
